How is lastminute.com different to other companies you’ve worked for?
I am surrounded by the cream-of-the-crop across all different disciplines – from technical wizzes to legal geniuses.

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done at work?
Asked our MD the following question and asked him to answer in 30 seconds; “A bat and ball cost $1.10 The bat cost $1 more than the ball How much did the ball cost?” It’s from “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman. Great book.

Which lastminute.com experience would you recommend?
Give musicals a try! I was a bit of a theatre-snob but have been surprised to admit that musicals are both escapist and uplifting. They are also a historic, immovable ingredient to London’s West End. I would challenge anyone not to enjoy
Sam Mendes’ ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.’

A trip anywhere… I’m easy.

To manage the Media campaigns we run from contract signature to implementation which includes managing the relationship between the different departments in the team, and forming strong relationships with our clients.

What’s the best thing about working at lastminute.com?
The social and inclusive atmosphere and the opportunity to learn something new every day. Being surrounded by pink and working for such a well-loved brand doesn’t hurt either!

No matter how big or small, every achievement is noticed and shared throughout the business – and sometimes rewarded with one of our famous pink umbrellas!

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done at work?
Volunteering to do a presentation for the entire company about the work the Media team are doing – 2 weeks into the job!

Which last minute experience would you most like to try?
At the moment it’s a toss-up between the Segway adventure and the Zorbing ride – I may be forced to do both.

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done at work?
Pitched an idea at 10am and had it live on the site by the end of the day. I also like surprising people with ice-cream.

What’s the most memorable lastminute.com holiday or trip you’ve been on?
Way before I worked here, I used lastminute.com to book a ten-day trip across Canada. Little did I know I’d end up getting married when I got there…

My job is to make sure we have the most competitive hotel supply for our amazing customers, especially in the last minute window.

Firstly the brand! I grew up with lastminute.com and now I’m a part of it. Secondly, the opportunity to work for such a strong market leader in the online travel industry.

During the London Olympics we conducted our own mini torch run around the office that lasted all day.
